Loads of incredibly creamy, bubbly lather in a natural shampoo bar?  Absolutely!  You don't need artificial "nasties" found in commercial shampoos to get your hair clean, soft and shiny.  Coconut, olive and sweet almond oils (plus a touch of shea butter) create a gentle yet effective cleansing base (as with my body bars).  I've included castor oil, which is great for the scalp, and also cocoa butter in this recipe, which both nourishes and makes a harder bar, which will last longer.

My Lemony Shampoo bar is suitable for all hair types. Lemon essential oil doesn't hold up well in soapmaking, so I use May Chang essential oil, which smells just like lemon sherbet!

If you've never used a natural shampoo bar before, take a look at my FAQ page for hints and tips. It takes a little bit of dedication to get started, but it's so worth it!

My shampoo bars are also fantastic for using on face and body too.

All my soaps are handmade and hand-cut, so each bar is unique. The weight stated is the minimum weight - most bars will weigh a bit more. A batch code is stamped on each bar.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Allow to dry out between uses.  Natural soap gets better with age.  If stored carefully it can last for several years, but over time the fragrance and colour may fade - it's a natural product, after all!
