My Lemony Shampoo bar is suitable for most hair types. Lemon essential oil doesn't hold up well in soapmaking, so I use May Chang essential oil, which smells just like lemon sherbet! Castor oil is great in shampoo bars, and I've also included cocoa butter in this recipe, which both nourishes and makes a harder bar, which will last longer.
If you've never used a natural shampoo bar before, take a look at my FAQ page for hints and tips. It takes a little bit of dedication to get started, but it's so worth it!
Suitable for hair, hands, face and body (slightly less moisturising than my other soaps, so may be suitable for more oily skin).
Vegetarian and Vegan.
All my soaps are handmade and hand-cut, so each bar is unique. The weight stated is the minimum weight - most bars will weigh a bit more. A batch code is stamped on each bar.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Allow to dry out between uses. Handmade soaps get better with age and if stored properly can last up to 3 years, although some fading of fragrance and colour is inevitable.
